What did you recently finish reading? The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma by Bessel van der Kolk
Most recent non-fiction read. Interesting and intense--probably my fault but I really wasn't prepared for how explicit and graphic the descriptions of people's traumas would be and I'm a little shocked there's no trigger warning in the book...
A Wizard’s Guide to Defensive Baking by T. Kingfisher
Delightful YA/middlegrade fantasy. Loved the magical concept here!
Summer Kisses (Kiss Me #2) by Charlie Novak
MM romance read. The author has a lot of potential but their executions continue to not quite hit the mark for me.
What are you currently reading?High on the Hog by Jessica B. Harris
Current non-fiction read.
The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoyevsky
Current read in my Around the World Reading Challenge for Russia. I'm doing a buddy read with one of my best friends as this book has also been on her TBR since high school, LOL.
Hurricane Child by Kacen Callender
Current audiobook listen as part of my Around the World Reading Challenge forthe Virgin Islands.
What do you think you’ll read next?Lacuna by N.R. Walker
Next MM romance read. Walker just came out with a new book so I'd like to read this one so I can clear a space for the new book on my KU. TBH, IDK if I'll get to this one but we'll see!
Resilience (Chronicles of Alsea #7) by Fletcher DeLancey
Time for my monthly Alsea read!
Cultish: The Language of Fanaticism by Amanda Montell
Next non-fiction read.
The Fury and Cries of Women by Angele Rawiri
Next read for my Around the World Reading Challenge for Gabon. This entry was originally posted here on Dreamwidth. Please comment there using OpenID
