What did you recently finish reading?Belly of the Beast: The Politics of Anti-Fatness as Anti-Blackness by Da’Shaun Harrison
Most recent non-fiction read. Really interesting, though a bit more academic then I tend to prefer my non-fiction.
Castor (Sons of the Fallen #2) by Jaclyn Osborn
This is a series that's been kind of meh so far, but in that way that I can't stop reading, LOL.
Happy Fat: Taking Up Space in a World That Wants to Shrink You by Sophie Hagan
Loved! This could be a good place to start for straight-sized non-fats to start learning more about anti-fat bias as the personal touch was quite effective and definitely immediately personalized the various obstacles fat people face in the world.
Sharks in the Time of Saviors by Kawai Strong Washburn
A friend of mine recommended this one for magical realism and it was quite interesting. It had a twist halfway through that genuinely shocked me, and IDK how I feel about it, but it was certainly unique.
Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman
Most recent read for my Around the World Reading Challenge for Scotland. Like my last read for this challenge, I wasn't totally prepared for how dark this one got, but I ended up quite enjoying it.
The Wolves of Kismet by Sam Burns
I've read a lot of this author's paranormal romances lately and I think I've hit a bit of fatigue wherein the little things that didn't bother me much at the start are beginning ot grate.Going to cool it a bit with this author I think for the time being.

What do you think you’ll read next?Radical Belonging: How to Survive + Thrive in an Unjust World (While Transforming It for the Better) by Lindo Bacon Next non-fiction read.
Resilience (Chronicles of Alsea #8) by Fletcher DeLancey
Time for my monthly Alsea read! I'm actually a month behind because this book unexpectedly had a wait list, but I've got it now and I'm excited to read!
Soulbound Series by Hailey Turner
I read the first book in this ~supernatural~ MM romance series when it came out 3 years ago but then decided to pause because there were 7 planned books in the series and the world was complicated enough that I knew I'd struggle with the gap between updates. The final book is due out in October, so I'm thinking it might be time to start reading through this again! I remember finding the first book just okay, so we'll see if I actually get through it all.
