Summary: Werewolf Alphas aren't meant to be alone, or to suppress their ruts indefinitely like Draco has been since he was bitten eight years ago. He needs company, companionship, to knot ― he needs an Omega Heat Companion. At least, that’s what the Healers say, and even Draco can admit contacting the person they’ve referred him to might be nice.
Of course it turns out to be bloody Potter.
JFC, this fic was just fantastic! If you're at all a fan of creature!fics or A/B/O then you NEED to read this fic. The writing was fabulous, the set up and the build between Harry and Draco was beyond amazing, and holy hell, the chemistry between the two of them just jumped off the screen. Wonderful read and seriously freaking hot!
Pairing(s): Draco/Harry, background Ron/Hermione & Dean/Seamus
Word Count: 44,791
Content/Warnings: switching, bottom!harry, bottom!draco, first time, rimming, unusual jobs, shared bed, hd_fan_fair 2017
Summary: When Harry's Mind Healer suggests a professional cuddler for the soothing power of touch, Harry is dubious; even more so when the Cuddler who shows up is Malfoy. But in the years since the war, Malfoy's changed, and over the next several days Harry is confronted by how much he doesn't know about this new version--and how much he wants to learn.
Oh my goodness, this fic was so good! I was a little unsure of how the author would be able to pull off this scenario, but they do it beautifully. Harry and Draco are wonderful here, and the connection and relationship build up between them was just lovely. I thought the concept of the professional cuddler for both of them really worked well, and the sex was UNF!! seriously hot. Wonderful read with a very satisfying ending.
Title: Nearly Lost Things, Carefully Tended
Pairing(s): Draco Malfoy/Harry Potter, background Ginny/Luna, Ron/Hermione, Neville/Hannah
Word Count: 46,653
Warnings/Content: unusual careers, bottom!harry, hd_fan_fair 2017
Summary: Three years after the war, Harry is lost, drifting, and feeling left behind. In an effort get control of his life, he commits to cleaning out Grimmauld Place top-to-bottom and forcing it to be a home, whether it likes it or not. The rotten old house is stuffed full of antiques, and Harry is shocked to discover none other than Draco Malfoy running the local antique shop. Malfoy is polite -- too polite, and Harry soon finds himself with a mission: to annoy and bother Malfoy with the most hideous, absurd antiques he can find. But along the way, Harry comes to appreciate Draco, his work, and the power of connecting to the people who came before him. It's a hard lesson, but Harry learns that if he wants to build a future, he has to reconnect to his past, and Draco might just be the one to help him do it.
Really fun and clever fic with Malfoy as an antiquities dealer who offers a special service: he can read the memories off of artifacts. Which, of course, works great for Harry, who's a bit adrift and desperately looking for connection to himself and his home and his past. Great cast of characters here and a lovely build. Super enjoyable.
Title: Don't Stop Me Now (A Tragedy in Three Acts)
Pairing: James/Sirius, background James/Lily, past Sirius/Remus
Word count: ~6,341
Warnings: first time, bottom!james, infidelity, mild homophobia/internalized homophobia, implied switching, sirius_black fest 2017
Summary: Being gay in the seventies isn't easy, coming out is hard to do and love is complicated, messy and unexpected. When Sirius Black comes out to James Potter it serves to fuel the embers of a fire that's been burning between them for years.
Oh, this fic is just gorgeous! All the beautiful, poignant angsty feels I love with this pairing, and the chemistry and connection between them just jumped off the screen. Fantastic!
