What I'm Reading

What did you recently finish reading?

Women and Other Monsters: Building a New Mythology by Jess Zimmerman
Most recent nonfiction read. Interesting concept and sort of genre-defying in a way that I enjoyed but that I suspect won't work for a lot of people.

Laughing Boy by Oliver La Farge
Most recent Pulitzer Prize Winner read. Overall I enjoyed it, though it was hard for me to forget/get past the fact that it was a "Navajo Love Story" written by a white man.

Chronicle of a Death Foretold by Gabriel García Márquez
Read for my Around the World Reading Challenge for Colombia. I've been meaning to read this for ages and I thought it was quite interesting!

Unhinged (Necessary Evils #1) by Onley James
MM romance read. This author's books are very much OTT and not necessarily all that well plotted but something about them is just enjoyable for me.

What are you currently reading?

The F*ck It Diet: Eating Should Be Easy by Caroline Dooner
Current nonfiction read.

Brisingr (Inheritance Cycle #3) by Christopher Paolini
Next book club meeting is in a couple of days so I'm finishing this one up!

What do you think you’ll read next?

The Menopause Manifesto: Own Your Health with Facts and Feminism by Jun Gunter
Next non-fiction read.

Lacuna by N.R. Walker
Next MM romance read. Walker just came out with a new book so I'd like to read this one so I can clear a space for the new book on my KU.

Legendborn by Tracy Deonn
Another new queer YA fantasy! Hopefully I enjoy this one more than the last!

Paradise of the Blind by Dương Thu Hương
Next in my Around the World Reading Challenge for Vietnam. This entry was originally posted here on Dreamwidth. Please comment there using OpenID
