What did you recently finish reading? The Menopause Manifesto: Own Your Health with Facts and Feminism by Jennifer Gunter
Informative, but I didn't enjoy it as much as The Vagina Bible. Possibly because this was a little less relevant to me at my particular age, but this felt a bit more dense/academic/dry to me.
I Have Crossed an Ocean: Selected Poems by Grace Nichols
A book of poetry I read for my Around the World Reading Challenge for Guyana, and it was really excellent! It had selections of poems from her various published poetry books and I'm definitely interested in reading more.
The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath
I thought the writing here was fabulous and I was really quite into the story until about 2/3 in when the ~spoiler~ happens. After that things sort of lost steam for me but I'm glad to have read this one!
In This Our Life by Ellen Glasgow
Pulitzer Prize Winner read that was really not my favorite. Took me about twice as long to read this one as I had planned, which is never a good sign.
What are you currently reading? The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma by Bessel van der Kolk
Current non-fiction read.
The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoyevsky
Current read in my Around the World Reading Challenge for Russia. I'm doing a buddy read with one of my best friends as this book has also been on her TBR since high school, LOL.
What do you think you’ll read next?High on the Hog by Jessica B. Harris
Next non-fiction read
Lacuna by N.R. Walker
Next MM romance read. Walker just came out with a new book so I'd like to read this one so I can clear a space for the new book on my KU. TBH, IDK if I'll get to this one but we'll see!
Resilience (Chronicles of Alsea #7) by Fletcher DeLancey
