What did you recently finish reading?Fattily Ever After: A Black Fat Girl's Guide to Living Life Unapologetically by Stephanie Yeboah
Most recent non-fiction read and I found it a bit underwhelming. Loved the intersectionality aspect, but it's quite surface-level and a little too misery-filled for my tastes.
Of Water and the Spirit: Ritual, Magic, and Initiation in the Life of an African Shaman by Malidoma Patrice Somé
Most recent read for my Around the World Reading Challenge for Burkina Faso. Really fascinating and well written, though it's not generally content I really gravitate towards.
Puck Drills & Quick Thrills (CU Hockey Book 5) by Eden Finley & Saxon James
This series was really hit or miss for me, but this one was right up my alley!
What are you currently reading?Wordslut: A Feminist Guide to Taking Back the English Language by Amanda Montell
Current non-fiction read.
Living a Feminist Life by Sara Ahmed
Current audiobook listen.
The Vampire's Club Series by X. Aratare
Current MM romance series read. Vampires, in honor of spooky season, lol. Currently through 5/7 books.
What do you think you’ll read next?Beyond the Gender Binary by Alok Vaid-Menon
Next non-fiction read.
The Stranger by Albert Camus
Next for my Around the World Reading Challenge for Algeria, I think. I've actually had this on my TBR for years and put it on hold at the library on a whim since it's a shorter read, and then realized it actually works for Algeria! I'd been planning to read something else for that country, but if I can kill two birds with one book, why not?
The Underdog (Better With You Book 3) by Briar Prescott
Next MM Romance read.
The Fork, the Witch, and the Worm: Eragon by Christopher Paolini
Since I've finished up the Inheritance Cycle with my mini-book club, we decided to read this collection of short stories set in the same world! This entry was originally posted here on Dreamwidth. Please comment there using OpenID
