Ride the Crack Broom!  
crack_broom once again needs fliers, specifically for October. I'm reccing Harry/Sirius in one of the Featured Pairing slots, but almost all of the other brooms are available, including: Harry/Draco, Harry/Snape, Next-Gen, Cross-Gen, and the Featured Pairing and Character brooms. You can see the complete list available for October here. I'm also hoping excited that birdsofshore is definitely going to be hosting Rectober again next month (info on last year's fest here), so this would be the perfect way to participate!

I'm just in love with this community and it is such an amazing resource, especially if you want to branch into new pairings.


Recommend Your Favourite Fanworks to the HP World!

I'm also very fond of crack_broom, and I've read a number of fics recced there that I probably wouldn't have found otherwise. Especially, as you say, from pairings that I don't usually read or don't know very well.

It's always so nice to see your recs, and it's so cool that you're reccing more than one pairing :)

I've recced Remus/Sirius a few times, and I might try reccing H/D at some point. Even though I'd probably be reccing fics from recent fests that everyone in the fandom have read anyway :) Then again, that's the beauty of crack_broom - there are so many different recs, and you reach people that usually don't read that specific pairing :)

Well you should definitely consider reccing in October! I know the Remus/Sirius broom is open...And I think the easiest way to rec, is to rec things that are really recent, just because it's likely they haven't been recced before. :D

But yes! Reccing is so much fun and I've found a lot of great fics through the comm.
