Title: The Colour of Snow
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco, implied Ron/Hermione
Rating: Hard R
Word Count: 3,722
Warning(s): light bloodplay, dark-ish,
Notes: hd book fair 2013, vampire!Draco, bottom!Harry
Summary: I think I can call this a modern vampire story. In which Harry is severe injured and Draco an Ministry experiment/captive.
I love vampire!draco and while this wasn't super dark ,it definitely had some dark overtones, which I sometimes crave instead of fluffy creature fics. I love their connection and the open ending seems fitting. Plus I am a big fan of good-guy Ron, which sneaks in there.
Title: You’ve Cast A Spell Over Me... Nope, Just A Hex
Warnings: EWE. Explicit sexual shenanigans in a professional office, a bit of dirty talk, and lots of age-inappropriate hexing.
Notes: auror!harry, office!sex, bottom!draco, hd book fair 2013
Word Count: 10,188
Summary: Draco Malfoy is a very important person with a very important job. He's got a tight schedule to keep, but he’s always willing to spare a few minutes to hex Harry Potter.
This fic was so funny! A lovely immature and unashamed Draco hexing Harry at every chance he gets. Of course it all comes to a head with some hot sex and a dirty-talking Harry and an ending that is perfection.
Title: Reading Malfoy
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco, Hermione/Ron, Luna/Rolf, Ginny/OMC, past Ginny/Harry, past Draco/OMCs
Rating: Hard R
Word Count: ~15,100
Notes: auror!harry, author!draco, implied bottom!draco, hd book fair 2013
Summary: After thirteen years of hiding himself away in Muggle London, Draco Malfoy shows up again in the wizarding world--with a wickedly amusing memoir in hand. Harry doesn't want to read it. Really. He doesn't.
This fic had some of the most realistic characters I have read. Both Harry and Draco are broken, but not defeated and I loved watching them come together in this.
Title: Hello, China!
Pairing: Harry/Draco, Ron/Hermione
Rating: Hard R
Word Count: 19,818
Notes: bottom!draco, healer!draco, colonel!harry, hd book fair 2013
Summary: In a world where Voldemort has been defeated but the Death Eaters remain at large, Harry Potter is a war colonel leading a regiment across Muggle Eurasia. When he’s injured in the line of duty, he refuses treatment from anyone except Healer Malfoy, who is befuddled but perfectly willing to find out what this means.
This fic was fantastic and fascinating! I loved the idea of uni and the magical military and the fusion of these ideas into the magical world was so well done! And the dynamic between Ron and Harry, and, of course, Harry and Draco was just too perfect.
Title: A Future Unknown
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco, Ron/Hermione, Ron/Hermione/Pansy
Word Count: 25,148
Notes: bottom!draco, auror!harry, healer!draco, cursed!draco, hd book fair 2013
Summary: Draco had always thought that the ability to see the future would have saved him a lot of grief. The choices are no easier, however, when he is cursed to see an endless set of futures featuring Harry Potter.
This fic was lovely. I loved the subtle ways the visions invade Draco's life and his growing relationship with Hermione and Harry. Pansy is perfection in this, both with Draco and Hermione.
Title: Rarely Pure and Never Simple
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco, Luna/Goyle
Word Count: ~29,000
Notes: bodyguard!harry, bottom!draco, implied switching, cursed!draco, hd book fair 2013
Summary: Harry never thought taking a job as Draco Malfoy's bodyguard was going to be easy. Add in a curse that makes Malfoy even more of an obnoxious git than usual, and Harry's got serious problems.
This was quite a funny fic. Draco gets cursed and can only speak the truth, which, as you can imagine, leads to some hilarious confrontations, especially with Harry as his hot bodyguard. Of course, Draco being his slippery self, finds this horrifying, and Harry, with his love of honesty, find this refreshing and realizes his attraction for Draco. Loved the concept and the emotion in this. And a lovely Luna Lovegood. I find that she can be difficult to nail down in fics, but she was great in this, rambling on in such a straightforward way about life and sex.
Title: Annus Mirabilis
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco, background Ron/Hermione
Word Count: 39,679
Notes: first time, bottom!draco, hd book fair 2013
Summary: Harry and Malfoy are trapped at Hogwarts around the time the school was founded. Stuck with a different way of doing magic, with no chocolate, and with each other, they have to find a way to work together if they want a chance to go home.
This was so so good! I thought the Founders era was so well done and fascinating, and I absolutely loved the evolution of Draco and Harry's relationship.
Title: And the Clock Keeps Ticking
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco, Ron/Hermione, Neville/Hannah, Ginny/OMC
Word Count: 49,892
Warnings: Minor character death(s)— despite whatever you may find later in the story, I really mean minor, so don’t worry *winks*. Add a few minor OCs, too, and repeated use of a strong potion (but only for pain relief).
Notes: auror!harry, implied bottom!draco, ghost!draco, cursed!draco, hd book fair 2013
Summary: Harry Potter knows three things. One, Voldemort can still cause chaos even after his death. Two, Draco Malfoy is one of the last two missing survivors. Three, Harry’s creepy dreams every night are the only key to finding Malfoy. And yet ... maybe Harry shouldn’t be so sure, for the truth about Malfoy is not what he thinks it is.
This fic is so intricate and well thought out. There is the mystery of what happened to Malfoy and the unusual curse that is killing off Death Eaters. And then we have Harry and Malfoy and Raines, the slow build romance and figuring out their feelings...Oh it is so good!
